Terms & Conditions

The agreement governing your use of the SoftStore.pk platform, your subscription, and the marketplace.

Last updated: August 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using SoftStore.pk ("the Platform") you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Platform on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.

2. What the service is

  • Cloud POS — a web and Android point-of-sale terminal with barcode scanning, receipt printing and real-time inventory.
  • Marketplace — a multi-vendor storefront where verified sellers list and sell products online.
  • Business management — CRM, purchase orders, returns, analytics and staff management.
  • Multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure — subscription-billed, with your data isolated from every other business.

3. Account registration & security

  • Registration information must be accurate and complete.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
  • Each staff account must belong to a real individual with working email access. Shared logins undermine the audit trail and are not permitted.
  • Email verification is required during onboarding.
  • Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscription & billing

  • Plans are billed on the cycle you select. Prices are shown in Pakistani Rupees (PKR).
  • Free trials begin at account activation and require no payment information. Nothing charges automatically when a trial ends.
  • Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Cancellations and downgrades take effect at the end of the period already paid for. Partial periods are not refunded.
  • Where a price changes, existing subscribers are notified before it applies to their renewal.

5. Marketplace seller obligations

If you list products on the marketplace, you must:

  • Complete identity verification (CNIC and business details).
  • List only authentic goods you are lawfully entitled to sell, described and priced accurately.
  • Dispatch confirmed orders within the timeframe you committed to.
  • Accept and process legitimate returns and refunds under the platform policy.
  • Not manipulate reviews, ratings or search placement.
  • Hold whatever licences your category requires. Regulatory compliance for your goods is your responsibility, not ours.

6. Platform commission

Marketplace orders are subject to a commission deducted from the order value at payout. Sales you make at your own counter through the POS are not commissioned.

  • The rates currently in force are published on the pricing page and in your dashboard.
  • Rate changes are effective-dated and apply only to orders placed after the effective date — never retroactively.
  • Sellers are given at least 30 days' notice before a rate increase takes effect.
  • Where an order is returned or refunded, the commission on that order is reversed.
  • Every calculation is recorded in a commission ledger you can inspect line by line.

7. Prohibited activity

  • Attempting to access another business's data or system resources.
  • Using the Platform for illegal or fraudulent activity.
  • Listing counterfeit, prohibited or restricted products.
  • Reverse engineering, scraping, or attempting to exploit the infrastructure.
  • Circumventing rate limits, authentication or other security controls.
  • Creating accounts to evade a suspension.

8. Service availability

We work to keep the Platform available and will give advance notice of planned maintenance wherever practical. We do not offer a guaranteed uptime percentage, and you should not build an operation that cannot tolerate an outage at the counter.

We are not liable for interruptions caused by hosting or connectivity providers, courier or payment-provider systems, or events outside our reasonable control. The Platform maintains exportable records specifically so you are never dependent on it being reachable — export regularly.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from use of the Platform will not exceed the subscription fees you paid in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost profit or lost sales.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. See the disclaimer for how this applies to marketplace listings sold by independent sellers.

10. Termination

You may cancel at any time; service continues to the end of the paid period. We may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these Terms — in particular for fraud, prohibited listings, or repeated failure to fulfil orders.

On termination your storefront is delisted and the dashboard becomes read-only so you can still export your catalogue, sales history and inventory ledger during the retention window described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Disputes are to be resolved through arbitration in Lahore, Pakistan, under the Arbitration Act 1940.

Questions about these Terms: sales@softstore.pk or the contact page.
