Frequently asked questions

Setup, hardware, billing, selling and data — the questions we get asked most, answered straight.

Getting started

How long does setup take?

Most shops are ringing up their first sale the same day. Create the account, add your products (by hand or imported from a spreadsheet), set opening stock, and you are trading. Marketplace listing takes longer only because it waits on document verification.

Do I need internet to use the POS?

The web POS needs a connection. The Android app is offline-first — you can keep scanning barcodes and taking cash sales with no connectivity, and everything syncs to your dashboard once the device is back online.

What hardware works with it?

Any modern browser on a PC or Mac, plus the Android app on tablets and phones. It is hardware-agnostic beyond that: standard USB or Bluetooth barcode scanners, ESC/POS thermal receipt printers over USB, Bluetooth or network, and standard cash drawers. You do not have to buy anything proprietary from us.

Can I import my existing product list?

Yes. Bring your catalogue in a spreadsheet with names, prices, barcodes and opening stock. Your inventory ledger starts from that opening count, so your first stock take reconciles against a real baseline.

Can I manage multiple branches?

Yes. Each business has its own stock, staff and sales, with reporting across what you operate. Branch managers and cashiers get their own accounts and permissions.

Pricing & billing

Are there hidden transaction fees on my counter sales?

No. Sales you ring up at your own counter are yours in full — zero commission, zero transaction fee. You pay the flat subscription and nothing else. Marketplace orders are the one exception and carry a clearly published commission; the full breakdown is on the pricing page.

Is the free trial really free?

Yes. No card is required to start it, and nothing charges automatically when it ends. If you do not subscribe, the account simply stops being able to take new sales — you are never billed for a trial you forgot about.

Do the plans differ in features?

No. Every plan unlocks the whole platform. Plans differ by billing cycle and support priority only. We do not sell you software and then charge again to see your own reports.

What happens if I cancel?

Your store stays live to the end of the period you already paid for. After that the storefront is delisted and the dashboard becomes read-only, so you can still export your products, sales history and inventory ledger. Partial periods are not refunded, so cancel before the renewal date.

Selling on the marketplace

Do I have to sell online to use the POS?

No. Plenty of shops subscribe purely for the register and inventory system and never switch their storefront on. No listing means no commission — just the subscription.

What do I need to get verified?

CNIC of the business owner, a working mobile number, your business name and a pickup address the courier can reach, and a bank account or mobile wallet for payouts. You can use the POS while verification is pending; it is the marketplace storefront that waits.

Will an online order sell stock I already sold in the shop?

No. Both channels read from one inventory. A counter sale writes a ledger entry immediately and the online listing quantity drops with it.

When do I get paid for marketplace orders?

After the order is delivered and the return window closes. Commission is deducted at that point and the rest is queued for payout, reconciled against the commission ledger. Cash-on-delivery orders settle once the courier remits.

What if a buyer refuses a cash-on-delivery order?

It is marked undelivered, no commission is charged, and the goods come back to you. Repeated refusals from the same buyer account get flagged.

Data & security

Is my business data secure?

Traffic runs over TLS. Passwords are salted and hashed, never stored in plaintext. Sessions use HttpOnly cookies with SameSite enforcement, every state-changing form requires a CSRF token, and login endpoints are rate-limited against brute force. Your records are isolated from every other business on the platform and that scoping is enforced per request. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

Can my staff see my cost prices and margins?

Only if you let them. Cashiers, salesmen, inventory staff and managers have different permissions. A cashier can ring up sales without ever seeing what you paid for the stock.

Can I get my data out?

Yes, at any time, in standard formats — products, sales history and the full inventory ledger. That includes after you cancel, during the retention window. Keep your own exports; do not rely on any single copy, including ours.

Why is the inventory ledger append-only?

Because a stock figure you cannot audit is a stock figure you cannot trust. Every movement — sale, purchase, return, damage, correction — is a new entry with a reason attached. Corrections are recorded as corrections rather than by quietly overwriting the old number, so when a count is wrong you can see exactly where it went wrong and who did it.
